Much like our recent (and apparently fanboy-inflaming) Playstation Redesign article, we will be continuing our series of console redesign possibilities.  Up on deck is the XBox 360.

Many of us game on the system, and game HARD.  But, there are always things we would like to see improved upon.  What are your ideas?  How would you improve the 360 from a design, interface, or business standpoint?

Let us know in our comments and we’ll include the ideas into our upcoming article!

I would comment if I could… But I don’t own an Xbox and I can’t think of anything other than the hardware failures… *Goes to laugh at the PS3 fanboys*

    Don’t be an idiot.

    -Free online multiplayer
-Allow us to copy music/videos/save data/photos to and FROM USB devices like PS3 does
-Get rid of that locally stored track listing database, it’s a waste of space. Use an online one.
    -Proper XVID/DIVX support
-Let us use Zunes/PDAs to access 360 via the net like PS3 does with PSP
    -Make XNA free

If they make XBL free, there’s the chance that it could end up as bad as PSN. The party system and cross game chat? All that is paid for by the subscription. So my $0.02 is:

-Make XBL faster! Since Nixxie, it seems to chug for ages before you can do something as basic as d/l a video or view your friends list. Get the speed back to what it was before.
-Have better XBLA sales – similar to those on PSN. You wouldn’t believe how many extra sales would come by redusing the price of an older, but still desirable game by 50% instead of 20%.
-Better hardware. Make it work, and not just for a year. No more RRoD or E78, it makes you a laughing stock (laughing all the way to the bank, but still…)

    - Quiet. I have my 360 mounted in a closet so that the noise is muffled. Also some are quieter than others for some reason, which stupid.
    - Better ratings for people on Live. Everyone has 5 stars, even the idiot players, people that use cheats, sing, team killers, etc. Players should be able to block ‘undesirable’ players from entering games.
    - Better codec support for watching videos.
    - Built-in controller battery charger
    - Standards for Xbox live user interfaces and methodologies for joining games. Basically so that the Gears of War 2 on Live fiasco can’t happen again. COD/Halo games should be the model.
    - All games run from hard drive, not run from disc.

Hey guys, thanks for the ideas, keep them coming!

Honestly, just make the hard drive more affordable, i keep having to delete items on the hard drive and im not paying ridiculous prices for a HD.

    Nice site btw guys.
