Mobozo Finds a Home for Your Omegle Chats

Last month we reported on the growing Omegle craze that is sweeping the world quicker than the Swine Flu.  Today we mention one of the first sites/apps that are built around the chat service.  Mobozo is a web community based on the sharing of interesting chats, with an emphasis on Omegle.  Mobozo users upload their chats into the service, sharing all manners of chats from the twisted to the occasional Rick Roll.  Our favorites are the ASCII artwork that often shows up.

As simple as the original service is, Mobozo manages to keep the concept just as clear and inviting.  With the added feature of rating chats via thumbs up/thumbs down methods, users can let the world know which chats are worth reading.  Simple tagging allows the chats to be organized into categories, and a “Top Rated” list lets us find the most histarical matches of internet text ping-pong with just a click.  And, if an internet surfer is looking for a surprise, they might click on the “Random Chats” button for a quick giggle.

Has the Omegle bubble burst?  Or can a fledgling site like Mobozo allow us to further the lifespan of one of our favorite internet memes of 2009?  Only time (and a few creepy chats) will tell.
