EA Active, the recent release from Electronic Arts that aimed to out-WiiFit Nintendo, has sold 600,000 copies in just its first 2 weeks on the market.  Yes, you read that right:  a non-Nintendo game has sold TREMENDOUSLY on the Wii.  Of course, it’s not a “core-focused” game like we all would hope, but it’s a start.  Proving that third-party games, when marketed correctly and actually advertised, can do well on the system, EA also announced that an expansion for the EA Active “platform” was forth-coming this year.

Expect more money to be shoveled into the EA steam-roller engine.
