Remember Neill Blomkamp, the chap who created the awesome live-action Halo 3 short films? Well, District 9 is his new major motion picture, being released on August 12th. And this is the latest trailer for it.
The trailer looks epic and the film looks great, and I only wish now that he’d been given the reigns to an actual Halo movie. Peter Jackson is producing (presenting? taking full credit for?) so you know that this will spark love in many a geek’s heart… mine included.

This movie looks awesome. I really can’t wait for it to come out. I looks like a mix between Cloverfield, Transformers, and Terminator. LOOKS AWESOME!!!!

Looks like an expansion on ‘Alive in Jo’burg’ which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Tetra Vaal is also worth checking out
