Halo Legends Anime Series Revealed

At ComicCon, Microsoft revealed that anime anthology Halo Legends will be making its way starting this fall.  Much like the uber-awesome Matrix anime anthology, Legends will give different takes on the mythos in seven short films.  Overseeing the project will be the also-awesome Appleseed director Shinji Aramaki, and will feature such other creators as Mamoru Oshii of Ghost in the Shell fame.  The full DVD from Warner Bros will be available sometime early 2010.

Can’t wait until then to see the films?  Legends will be a part of the new Halo Waypoint experience on XBox Live.  Dubbed an online “destination” for all things Halo, Waypoint will showcase select episodes of the anime series, as well as podcasts, videos, and other adver-gaming content.  Visitors to Waypoint will engrossed in a full “career system” to reward users for viewing and partaking in the content and in games.

Think of it as the official Halo Channel.  And think of us as officially smitten.
