My Wife Reviews: Let’s Tap (Wii)

My wife often watches while I play videogames, no matter what kind they are.  It’s a way for her to be around me and engage in things I like without being forced to play something she doesn’t like.  A couple weeks back I had the chance to sit down and review Let’s Tap for the Wii, which I noted that was a pretty fun and unique experience.  In the article, I mentioned that I had played the multiplayer portion with my wife.  I decided that since I gave my perspective of the game, it was best only fair that I gave you hers for levity’s sake.  She gave me the input, I wrote it for her.

So without further ado…

My Wife Reviews: Let’s Tap by SEGA for the Nintendo Wii.

Since the game is a collection of mini-games, I had my wife first give me her opinions of each one and then an overall impression.  Short and sweet.

Tap Runner: She likes this one because it was easy (for her) to tap at the right speed and get her guy running and jumping.  She also liked the little characters, and how each one has its own personality.  Oh, and she likes that she can beat me each race.  Easily.

Rhythm Tap: She said that she didn’t like this mini-game that much.  She kept missing the notes since she had to tap a little before the note hits to line it up right.  It’s was a little confusing when there were two of us playing, too.  She kept looking at the wrong note line since they are placed so close together.  She noted that I did a lot better than her because I play Guitar Hero all the time.

Silent Blocks: This reminded her of Jenga.  It was okay, nothing new or special.

Bubble Blaster:  She only played this in multi-player mode against me and the controls were difficult for her.  The characters kept over-spinning.  She did beat me when we played, but she doesn’t think she’ll play this one again.

Visualizer:  She liked this one too, but noted that it isn’t really a game.  We tried the different visualizer modes in it and she liked the fish pool the best.  I think this would be cool at one of our parties for people to play.

And Overall:

She liked this game a lot overall, but she wished that there were more mini-games than the five that were included.  She said that other sports-type games would be fun, or at least more types of races.  She likes that she can play the game as well or even better than me.  Thumbs up from her and a lot of fun.
