Our friends over at Mode 7 Games have sent over the info for their upcoming tactical turn-based game, Frozen Synapse. Set in the near future, where all good wars always take place, the game centers around fast-paced squad gameplay. Mode 7 call it “bite-sized hardcore strategy” as it aims to make every turn of play count with an emphasis on tactical skills rather then trees of commands.
Here are a few of the game’s interesting details:
- A variety of multiplayer game modes
- Full single player campaign
- “Every Turn Counts” gameplay – in any given turn power can shift if you make the right tactical decisions
- Unique scoring technique – see your performance against hundreds of opponents on the same mission
- Fully destructible terrain – create the perfect cover with a well-placed explosive
