Well, the worst (best?) kept secret of the Summer has now been revealed. Sony has officially OFFICIALLY launched the PS3 Slim at Gamescon in Germany.
The deets:
- Available beginning of September
- 120GB Hard Drive
- $299 US/299 Euros
- 33% smaller
- In addition, starting tomorrow the PS3 will drop in price to $299 from $399.
Sony reiterated that hardware revisions and price drops take place often, as referenced by the PS2 Slim releasing just 4 years after the original PS2.
