That new lead actor they found for District 9 did an amazing job i thought - huge character transition through the course of the movie; sometimes it's nice to see some new faces and that was definitely the case with this movie

...should be die in a fire! lol where's your editor?

i thought this was a pretty damn good movie. the only thing i wanted to happen a lot more were human deaths. i wanted the aliens to...well, just go see it.

i didn't mind the insectoid aliens at all. whether that alien stereotype has been beaten to death or not, it all depends on how they're portrayed in this film. this wasn't star ship troppers insect aliens. this wasn't men in black insect aliens. this was district 9 insect aliens who were beaten down by humanity. almost everyone is grossed out by real bugs. they're freaky and creepy and crawly gross things. but to see the "pretty" humans taking advantage of these scary looking alien bugs drives home the point of just how goddamn selfish humans are, and now much people just suck in general.

it's an all around great movie with a pretty plain message to viewers.
