Nintendo today confirmed the infamous “Black Wii” for Europe. Coming November 6th in the UK and Nov 20th in the rest of the EU, the new bundle will include a black Wii with matching WiiMote, Nunchuck, and MotionPlus, as well as both WiiSports and WiiSports Resort. Also launching alongside teh new bundle will be a black Classic Controller Pro, previously only available in Japan.
With the latest NPD results showing the Wii dropping to second in console sales in September’s price-cut bonanza, and Nintendo expected to announce a decrease in their FY10 forecast (the first since 2004), pulling out all the stops to remain King of the Sales Hill is of utmost importance to the Big N. And, while this incredi-bundle is only scheduled for Europe, you can bet that Nintendo will do the same in the US before long. Different colors sell, as we know.
Our guess? Well, timing a black Wii with a certain “black” Friday is an almost no-brainer.
