That, my friends, is the beginning of the end for gamer-kind.  This once mundane-looking Sega Saturn Mission Stick has transformed into a frightening robotic insect, hell bent on devouring us all.

Okay, a little extreme.  It’s actually the work of Industrial Design student James Ian KILLinger (our emphasis), who lovingly hacked apart and recombined his joystick into something much more sinister.  The project assignment was to take an object, break it down to its rawest pieces, and recombine into something new.  KILLinger chose the stick, which he bought for a measly 5 bucks in Brooklyn.

KILLinger has more images up in his Coroflot portfolio of the threatening creation as well as that of the original stick (below).
