  • I got a Wii for Christmas 2006 from my grandparents. It was the one thing I asked for in the obligatory Christmas list my parents made me make during my high school years. I wasn’t surprised to see the Wii under the tree, but I was beyond surprised to hear that my grandparents got to the Gamestop at five am to get me one.

It’s probably the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. I mean, I wouldn’t have even done that for myself.

  • I totally just realized the rules say it has to be a 2010 holiday. Oh well, I like my story any way.

Fourth of July was the best memory as I left a state I didn’t care for and was around family and friends on the fourth …

Every year for christmas I hope to get something awesome and this year was really the first year i’ve been able to shop for many people and i was really excited about giving the gifts out, not paying much attention to what i might be getting. While i splurged and overspent buying stuff for other people no body knew what to get me. I came into the living room to discover probably the best christmas i’ve had since i was 12. I’m a philadelphia sports fan and everything was philly sports… i didn’t get one thing that i couldn’t enjoy. I was really happy about it. This is one of the best christmases ive ever had. And it would of course be nice to win this too ! :)

  • Best holiday this year was by far Christmas I finally got to make up for me being broke in college and getting everyone gifts and asking nothing in return. Having a job is real nice

  • Rory Young

I got my daughter Kirby’s Epic Yarn for Christmas this year (among a load of other stuff) and she has barely come away from the TV. I’ve helped her with some tough parts, and the level where you have to make the train tracks is the most fun! Thanks for the great contest!

This year, 4th of July was crazy. ILLEGAL FIREWORKS!

For Thanksgiving this year, I got to see my aunt and cousin and hang out with them all day. I hadn’t seen them for several years. We saw Harry Potter and went out to eat at a great restaurant. Being around family and friends always brings out the best experiences.

My favorite day so far has been Christmas when my wife got me a pro beer pong table.

My best memories have been spending the holidays with my husband, his love has made me realize what is most important. I used to spend a ton of money on gifts and trying to make things just so . Everything was such a big deal, now I have the best of everything and did spend a dime.

Happy Heart = Happy Holidays …My wish to you !

Christmas day was the greatest holiday for me this year. Relaxing with my family by the fire, sharing stories and gifts, was a beautiful way to take my mind off the stress of life. And at the end of the night, I sat, wrapped in my blanket and drinking hot cocoa, playing Minecraft with some friends.
    Happy holidays to all.

  • Christmas, because I bought my niece her very first game system. Metallic Rose DS. 5 is old enough, right? Right.

  • I have to say that this Christmas was extra special for my family and I. My youngest daughter was born three months early and we were told that she was likely in for some pretty serious surgery. We had to wait until she was 18 months old to get the verdict which was to be announced on Dec.20th…five days before Christmas, which also happened to coincide with a terrible snowstorm that added several tense hours to our journey to the hospital.

We’d planned to be stuck over Christmas inside the hospital and were sick with worry. The specialists stood around the desk, hemming and hawing and consulting all my daughter’s charts and scans. My heart was rapidly sinking; Christmas seemed light years away at this point.

To make a long story short, our consultant finally looked up from his notes with a smile and told us our daughter was perfect. Everything he had been worried about had been rectified and there would be no surgery as she was absolutely fine. We were told to go home and enjoy Christmas.

It was just so great to get home to tell everyone the good news. Christmas was so fun because our whole family could relax and enjoy our time together with no dark cloud over our heads. It was especially great watching the little ones open their gifts. I know it sounds corny…but Christmas this year turned out to be something that will remain a very happy memory for years to come.

  • My favorite holiday memory of 2010 happens to be Christmas. We were on a very tight budget thus year. My 8-year-old wanted a new skateboard. A friend if ours gave us one her son no longer used. It was in great shape, but the wheels were worn and black with use. My wife worried our son would notice and think he was in the naughty list. There wasn’t much we could do about it. So I wrapped it and hoped for the best. Christmas morning, it was the first gift he opened. We waited in breathless anticipation… Success! You’d have thought he’d gotten a sports car. It was a nice cap to a difficult year. A very merry Christmas, indeed.

The best memory of 2010 has to be the 4th of july, sitting by the river watching the fireworks with an ice cold beer with my besties shooting the breeze. it was a perfect evening.

  • Edwin

my favorite memory was from this Christmas, helping my mom making the dinner, always loved doing those kind of things.

  • Ben

The best memory of 2010 has to be this Christmas, especially putting up the Christmas tree with my family, covering it in tinsel and decorating it in balls… it looked so great and I was proud of myself afterwards.

Well, right before my cat Libby pounced on the tree and took the entire thing down in one go. I’ll try to leave that bit out of my memory.

  • Congrats! This is the winning entry!

  • Edwin
