The sound team at Grasshopper Manufacture, creators of No More Heroes, Killer 7, and other groundbreaking and genre-shifting games, have announced the release of three songs for download in remembrance of the victims of the terrible Japanese quake and tsunami.

The songs, “As You Wake,” “Before You Sleep,” and “In The Afternoon”, all of which are described as “Otomodachi” – meaning “friend” or “great friend” – are found on the Facebook fan page for the company, and are available for free for download and sharing.

With a major international crisis at hand the Japanese entertainment industry, especially the gaming sector, has stepped to the plate to help the rescue and rebuilding efforts with efforts like this and others.

Please consider donating to the Red Cross as well, to help those suffering from this tragic event.
