Nintendo of Japan confirmed today in a memo that there will be a successor to the Wii playable at E3 in 2011 and due out in 2012. No specs or models have been announced, but this makes the recent images all the more plausible. Below is a full copy of the memo that was sent out in both English and Japanese:
Editors Note: I have spoken with an analyst and he believes this confirmation was forced by the leak in the past week, but he believed Nintendo was going to release this information before E3 as it was. He also said that the specs and models are most likely the real thing.
