Capcom may be serving as a titan of industry at this point, but they are starting to claim loses in the millions; these loses are all due to the down time suffered by the PlayStation Network. according to a comment by senior vice president Christian Svensson, “Capcom is experiencing substantial economic fallout .”
While it isn’t clear who is at fault for the Sony downtime, Svensson said, “hackers appear to be trying to ‘punish’ Sony for some perceived injustice, and they’ve been effective in that I suppose,” according to a GameStop report.

Have no fear, the Diablo 3 beta is near. During an investor call today, Activision announced that Blizzard would hopefully launch a Diablo 3 beta in Q3 of 2011. While the testing has just start, the company has mustered up enough confidence to state that a public beta would drop in the final quarter of 2011. Until then our amazon and warrior mock-ups must sit in silence.
