Amusement Magazine opens new shop space

Art-influenced French video game magazine Amusement has opened up their first brick & mortar shop.  The tech gallery-meets-sales outlet is dubbed a “creative store”, and mixes art, digital culture, and fashion.  There are all manner of toys, gadgets, and products that are aimed at inspiring and entertaining shoppers, which goes hand-in-hand with the magazine’s M-O of innovative articles and photo shoots related to games.

The store opened in March, but has already hosted several events.

We can’t help but be huge fans of Amusement; it’s a completely different gaming journalism experience.  It’s easy to get lost in their great online galleries of buildings shaped like Nintendo DSes and Playstation controllers sawed in half by Tron discs.  Excite!

Amusement has also recently taken over some of the duties at SFR Player, a gaming magazine specializing in more of the behind-the-scenes talk about gaming.  They recently chatted with several members of the industry (including key folk critical to the development of the Kinect) about what the future holds for interaction between humans and software/devices.
