#Gamechat: What’s your favorite Zelda memory?

In celebration of the Legend of Zelda hitting the big 25 this year, we’re holding a little commemorative week in honor of the series.  Join us each day as we have some great, memorable things that we’ll be kicking around for you.

Up first, we ask YOU about your favorite Zelda memories.  What turned you on to the series?  What are your favorite Zelda games & moments? Let us know by leaving a comment in this post or via our #gamechat hashtag on Twitter!

My favorite zelda memory is the first time i played A Link To The Past for the GBA that was when i fell in love with the zelda series. After that i made sure I played ever zelda game and i loved them.

My favorite Zelda memory was borrowing A Link to the Past for SNES from a kid on the school bus. The cartridge had a rattle and it had to be positioned just so in order to load but it was totally worth the 10 minutes of fiddling every time I wanted to play.

I stayed up as late as I could that first night, making it as far as the dark world. The next day, for the first, last, and only time during my 12 years of public school, I faked sick in order to stay home and play it. Problem was, I was an idiot. I pulled an ET and put the thermometer on the lightbulb. IT DOESN’T WORK LIKE THAT, SPIELBERG! My mom, crafty as she was, let me stay home but confined me to my room and recruited my grandmother to ensure I spent the day resting and not playing games. It was the most boring day of my life. I never pretended to be sick again but I’ll always remember A Link to the Past as the only game I loved enough to try.
