Machinarium comes to iPad

Hey all of you art lovin’, adventure game playin’ gamers out there with a thirst for some iOS content. Today is the day you’ve all been waiting for as Machinarium ($4.99) is available now on the iPad.

If you aren’t familar with the game, you play as an adorable robot intern on a mission to save his robot girlfriend from the robot mafia in a city populated entirely by robots. It’s sort of like Wall-E but with fewer themes of consumerism and more devilishly difficult point-and-click adventuring.

Oh, and did I mention that the game is absolutely gorgeous? Created by Amanita Design, makers of the equally beautiful Samorost and Samorost 2, the game features some of the best, painstakingly hand-drawn artwork seen this generation. All of this for only $4.99; $15 dollars cheaper than the game is on other platforms or approximately a lot less than I paid for it during the Humble Indie Bundle.

One of the most beautiful tracks ever is Tomas Dvorak’s “By the Wall”, which is from this game.

That is actually a great track. Reminds me of Blade Runner’s soundtrack.

Man, I already own this on PC but I think I might buy it again just to have it on the go. I feel touch controls would work well with it too.

And, hell, it’s only five bucks.

Great game, worth it to rebuy on iPad even though I have it for pc. Nothing like puzzling on the go.
