Star Wars: The Old Republic Drops on 12/20/2011

Upon waking up this morning, what should I find but an announcement from the Star Wars: The Old Republic community announcing the new release date for the massive MMO. The game is now set to release on December 20, 2011.

This official announcement comes not long after EA let slip that the game might have been pushed into 2012 and only hours after Best Buy leaked the new release date. Odds are that this has something to do with Diablo 3 slipping out of the holiday window, leaving it wide open for Bioware’s new opus.

    I’m hitting this business up right off the bat. Gonna pre-order tonight with a 25% off code I got for my birthday from Origin. Just can’t decide if the 5 in-game items is worth $20 for the Special Edition… Hmm.

    Also, this is the first MMO since WoW that all of my real word friends are excited for.
