Giveaway: The Walking Dead and Awesomenauts [UPDATE]

The Walking Dead game

[UPDATE: Because we didn’t get to 100 entries, we couldn’t give both prizes to one person…. So, we chose TWO people to win! Winner #1 was Eric Willes and will receive the first prize, Awesomenauts. Winner #2 is Vladimir Ljubetic and will win the secondary prize, Walking Dead! Congrats!]

It’s an awesome week for fans of downloadable games. Two critically acclaimed games launched recently that YOU MUST PLAY: The Walking Dead: A New Day by TellTale Games and Awesomenauts by Ronimo Games. However, if you don’t have the cash to do so then we’re here to help you with that.

We have a code for each INCREDIBLE game for XBLA that we want to give to you, but we don’t want to make it too easy. I mean, we don’t come across these that often since the zombies started showing up. You’ll need to work for it (a bit). We’ll start by offering up the ridiculously fun Awesomenauts as a prize to one lucky person. You have 5 days (Monday May 7th – Thursday May 10th at 11:59 Pacific time) to get 100 entries in this post, and should you reach that (not-so-lofty) goal you’ll unlock The Walking Dead as a prize for that winner as well. That’s right: get to 100 entries in this post and you’ll win BOTH games. Get less than 100 entries and you’ll *only* win Awesomeonauts. You can enter once per day, for a total of 4 entries.

To enter all you need to do is tell us what your FAVORITE comic book is in your entry (comment).

We’ll choose the winner on Friday at 10AM for the prize(s).

Easy Peasey!

Really Transmetropolitan is the only American comic/graphic novel I own. I used to collect Spawn, The Maxx, and some other Image comics when I was a teenager, started with Spawn #3 I think, but I got out of comics only about a year later. Manga is my thing. Bleach, Initial D, Great Teacher Onizuka, Death Note, Prince of Tennis.

My favorite on going comic is invincible. For an overall series that has already ended it is Y: the last man.

  • Andrew

One more time, I’m going with Lone Wolf and Cub.

  • Jonah Gregory

The Long Halloween is definitely up there.

  • Josh Arnold

my favorite graphic novel is The Walking Dead… since its the only comic book i have ever read

  • James Gillard

My favorite comic book story is What If Thanos Changed Galactus Into a Human Being? Rather than imprison him in energy cubes like in the original story, Thanos punishes Galactus by sending him to Earth as a human. In his human form, Galactus finds himself in a Kansas trailer park. With no memory of his true identity, hungry and entranced by the sound of nearby music, he stumbles into the home this waitress and Elvis enthusiast. At first, she’s horrified that there’s a naked dude collapsing at her front door, but then we get a good look at Galactus’ human form and she’s even more shocked.  Thanos turned him into fucking ELVIS.  We then have great moments, like Galactus performing at shitty dive bars while truckers ponder whether he is Elvis back from the dead or not.

  • Ray J

Invincible is my favorite comic next to The Walking Dead

  • Tim Perlette

My favorite comic book is easily The Amazing Spiderman, I have a stack of them its insane.
