With the release of the WiiU in the Fall (and, some might even say the recent launches of the 3DS and Vita) the next generation of gaming consoles is upon us. That leaves the current generation of HD consoles, PCs, and mobile devices to languish on shelves for eternity on the new ones hit.
We all know that there were a hell of a lot of great games that found their way into our homes and hands over the last several years, and some could even be considered the greatest of all time. Bioshock? Fallout 3? Skyward Sword? Uncharted 2? The list goes on and on, proving that video games have caught up to and even surpassed other forms of media in delivering great experiences.
That’s why we wonder what the best of this generation might actually be, and ask you to help us figure that out! This week’s #gamechat is all about the best game of this gen, or at least what you think that might be. For the sake of keeping things sane, let’s use these parameters:
- Must have been released between 2005-2012
- Consoles: Xbox 360, PS3, Wii
- Handhelds: PSP, DS, iOS, Android
- PC: Windows or Mac, from 2005-2012
