We pull the wraps off the new Blue 3DS XL and take a walk down memory lane to meet its’ ancestry.

The system feels very solid in the hands, a tad bit heavier than you may initially think.  The larger design does make it much nicer to hold in the hands for longer play sessions.

The display still has the same resolution as the original 3DS, if you have played the original DSi XL, you will understand how it looks, you can see pixels, but its not all too distracting.

Older games like GBA and NES games look great even “full frame”, and the bottom navigation buttons are much improved over the original 3DS single plastic membrane cover.

All in all, I think this would be the system to grab if you are still on the fence, playing GBA games on that large screen is great and over all is just much more comfortable to hold and play with.
