If you’re a fan of Magic the Gathering, like the majority of SQ is, then listen up! The folks behind the latest digital incarnation of the game, Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013, are hosting a live tournament online to choose the best of the best. The combatants chosen are five of the most-watched YouTube MTG players around: Tobuscus, Black Nerd Comedy, Katers17, OMFGCATA and Panser.
The event takes place on Friday, October 12, at 8PM EDT on Twitch.tv and is hosted by HuskyStarcraft.
Over on the game’s Facebook page, the challengers are posting regular videos detailing their training along the way. If you’re looking to improve your MTG prowess, they’ve been doing a good job of dropping strategies and tips for the game.
We’ll have some MTG:DotP 2013 Steam codes to give away later this week, but you can download the demo from Steam, iOS, XBLA, and PSN today.
