The biggest first party release for the Xbox 360 in years is almost here. Launching on Election Day (November 6), because what better way to spend your day off than to vote play video games, Halo 4 brings Master Chief back into our hearts. Quite possibly the final Halo game for this console generation, and 343′s first foray, this latest edition looks to be the most explosive.
So you’d better preorder it, like we will, to play it on said Tuesday.
We won’t bother listing the Limited Editions, because they’re sold out online and in preorder everywhere. You’re better off waiting about 2 weeks afterward when they’re plentiful and drop in price. Because those things always happen.
Amazon
Amazon has a nice little bonus for video watchers, hoping to push their instant video service. Pre-order Halo 4 and get a $10 Amazon Instant Video credit. The exclusive Amazon DLC is customizable “Web” skin/CIO armor. Essentially, it allows you to customize the armor colors for “most” multiplayer modes. You also get some Spartan and Bulletproof emblems.

Best Buy
By now you should have joined Best Buy’s Reward Zone Gamers Club Unlocked service. For just $14.99 per year, you get their @Gamer magazine and a ton of coupons and bonuses. Case in point: preorder Halo 4 from Best Buy and get a $20 gift card if you’re an Unlocked member. If not, you still get the Venator Raptor multiplayer armor design and the Deadeye multiplayer helmet. Both can be customized via color.

Walmart is taking a similar route to Amazon in its push for reaching into its other media avenues. The company is offering $4.99 in VUDU Movie Credits as well as the Circuit Skin/Oceanic Armor multiplayer download.

Gamestop
Order up from Gamestop and grab the Forest Armor. PowerUp Rewards preorders will currently net you three exclusive emblems: Mjolnir, Assassin, and Bonebreaker. Gamestop has been doing monthly votes for further bonuses as well (for PowerUp Rewards Members). Last month’s vote netted the Arctic Battle Rifle Weapon Skin.
