Skulls of the Shogun Held Back by Technical Problems, Announcement Coming Soon

Skulls of the Shogun, 17-Bit’s turn-based strategy game for Microsoft Surface, PC, Windows Phone, and Xbox Live Arcade, missed its launch date alongside Windows 8 due to technical problems, according to an email 17-Bit CEO Jake Kazdal sent me.

Skulls of the Shogun was originally planned to launch with Windows 8 on October 26, but it was held back by “a few technical snags,” Kazdal said. He said a release date will be announced soon, and it’s still on track to launch on all four platforms.

According to a Tweet from Kazdal in September, the game could see a mid-November release.

Skulls of the Shogun will feature asynchronous, cross-platform play.

Skulls of the Shogun was announced in 2010.
