Gaikai

David Perry came on stage at Sony’s PlayStation Meeting today to tell us all how Gaikai will be integrated into PlayStation Network, and the PlayStation 4.

Perry said the PS4’s version of the PlayStation Network will be the “fastest gaming network in the world.”

Sony will use Gaikai to offer instantaneous demoes through the PlayStation Store. “With Gaikai, you’ll be able to instantly experience anything you want,” Perry said. He continued by saying how quick and easy it will be to access any game you want with the press of a button

Through Facebook and UStream, players will be able to share their gameplay videos using a share button on the PlayStation 4 controller. Perry likened it to allowing your friends to look over your shoulder virtually while playing.

Lastly, Perry announced that if you would like you can allow a friend to take over gameplay from a different location, allowing you to get past a difficult spot in a game by simply watching.

It all sounds very interesting, and we will continue to update you with details as they become available.
