SideQuesting’s Most Anticipated Games of E3 2013: Rayman Legends

Rayman Legends E3 2013

SideQuesting has a list! Just like any other good website looking for easy views and comment wars, we’ve assembled a mega list of the games that we’re most excited about for E3 2013. There are several, and we *hope* that they’re all awesome. I guess we find out in a week! Anyhoo, enjoy our Most Anticipated Games of E3!

We loved loved LURVED Rayman Legends last year at E3 when it was supposed to be a Wii U exclusive. Since then, the game was delayed a few times and the exclusivity ended. Heck, it’s now entering its second E3. While we’re bummed that we haven’t played it yet, at least we know it’s going to result in an even better product, though we don’t know how much better than “HOLY AMAZING SWEET GORGEOUS” you can get.

Legends is still a 2-D platformer with great visual style, wonderful co-operative elements, and innovative use of gaming technology. Bringing it to the Xbox 360, PS3 and Vita as well as the Wii U means that more people will get to enjoy it, though Nintendo’s console still performs as the lead platform with the most modes and exclusive features.

The colorful visuals are the first thing we see when we play, but the game’s tie to music and its soundtrack is possibly more important. It’s almost like playing a music rhythm game, but with much more of an emphasis on platforming. It creates an incredibly novel game mechanic that is simple on the outside but meticulously complex within.

And just look at it: it’s freaking gorgeous!
