Sony announce a newer, thinner PlayStation Vita model

The PlayStation Vita went on a diet and will have a new sleek design which is 20 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter than the current model of the system. The screen will be LCD and not the OLED which makes the current system extremely sexy. It will also comes in white, blue, yellow, pink, green, and black.

The new Vita will have a built in 1GB memory card and the Battery life has been expanded to go up to six hours of game play.

On October 10, 2013 in Japan the new Vita will be dropped at the price of 18,980 yen or around $190.

Sony also announced that they will released a 64GB card that will cost you at a low price of $100.

Right now it is unknown if the new Slim PS Vita will be available for the West.

In related news there will be a PlayStation Vita bundle  for the HD re-leased of Final Fantasy X and X2. No release date as been announced.
