Tiny Brains helps players by using the Dualshock 4’s light bar

111The light bar on Sony’s Dualshock 4 may have seemed like a weird addition to the Playstation 4’s controller, but at least one studio is putting it to good use.

Simon Darveau, Co-founder and games designer at Spearhead Games, tweeted the above photo of how the teams upcoming game Tiny Brains is going to use the feature. While playing the game, each player’s light bar will be lit up with the corresponding color of the character being played by that controller. This will hopefully allow players to keep better track of who they are while also allowing them to get a better idea of who is playing as who. Tiny Brains will be available at Playstation 4’s launch and is shaping up to be quite a fun coop puzzler. Checkout the picture bellow to see which character goes with which color.

[Update] As Darveau pointed out to me, the character art of the vortex rabbit has changed since the original art of all the characters was released. Bellow is the finalized art for each character. As you can see the rabbit has swapped it’s orange for a bit of green.
