I had the chance to go to a local Microsoft Store in Troy, Michigan and take part in the special midnight release of Titanfall.
Fans of the game started to arrive around 4pm that day just to get a chance to be the first to play the game. The reactions that I saw were pretty priceless, to say the least; I had already played the beta for Titanfall so I knew what to expect. A few of the players I spoke to were playing it for the first time and were really surprised at how well the game play is.
There were tons of giveaways to be had, too, including 12 months of Xbox Live and two Xbox Ones with a digital copy of Titanfall. Over $4000 worth of prizes were given away overall. That’s a staple of these kinds of events.
I had the chance to interview the Store Manager about the event, which you can listen to in this post.
You can tell that I got a bit excited when he mentioned the tournaments that they held weekly, so I might have to get a Xbox One just so I can join in on the fun.
