Harmonix Music Systems sent a survey to subscribers of their email newsletter today to gauge interest and “help inform discussions about the future of Rock Band.” This survey comes nearly four years since the release of Rock Band 3 and over a year since the developer stopped releasing downloadable content last April.
The survey is attempting to determine what (if any) Rock Band peripherals the survey-takers still own, as well as gauging interest in whether there is more interest in a current-gen incarnation or one for legacy consoles, as well as new instrument peripherals.
This is far from a new title announcement, but it is interesting to see Harmonix paying attention to a franchise that has proven extremely lucrative for them in the past, especially after a recent round of layoffs.
