WWE announces its newest WWE Champion for their cover on WWE 2K15

This week’s WWE Monday Night Raw started off with Stephanie McMahon and her (real life) husband Triple H coming down to the ring to cut a promo. Things were normal, as they were talking about how they do not know how long Daniel Bryan will be out of commission, how they are happy that their new WWE World Heavyweight Champion is a “A+” player.

And then we heard John Cena’s theme song hit, and as he made his way down the ring he’s surrounded by a mixture of cheers and boos. Before the 15th time champion even spoke, Stephanie dropped a bomb on Cena and announced that he will be on the cover for 2K’s WWE 2K15.

Am I shocked that he is on the cover? No. Should I even be even more shocked that this is a coincidence? Not a chance. They have always treated John Cena as gold and with him winning the title last night in the Money In The Bank pay per view, it should not be a surprise that the WWE had this prepared.

WWE 2K15 will be released on October 28, 2014 and is slated for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
