This is how Assassin’s Creed Unity’s co-op missions work (video)

We knew co-op play was a huge part of the next Assassin’s Creed game, and now we can see what’s so great about what we were only briefly hinted at with at E3. Assassin’s Creed Unity allows up to four people to play in special missions, and Ubi has taken it upon themselves to showcase one centered around a heist.

Alex Amancio, Creative Director for the game, narrates the above video as he and Product Manager David Pauzé tackle a mission with the goal to steal artifacts. Though it seems like a pretty run-of-the-mill style of team-up, the real test arrives when the duo is tasked to avoid causing a disturbance, keeping from being seen. The less they’re seen, the higher the reward at the end.

The team works its way around the city at night, through its murky underground and sewers, and steals the artifacts from an unsuspecting smoke-bomb pair of guards. Finally, they make their escape back through the sewers and up onto the rooftops before pausing to take a nice long look at the foggy world in front of them.

Unity arrives November 11.
