At its Gamescom press conference this morning, EA showed off a teaser trailer for a new mode for Star Wars Battlefront. Called Fighter Squadron, it is in a sense pretty much the dogfight mode from Rogue Squadron from back in the Nintendo 64 and Gamecube days. If there was ever a game I want remade it would be Rogue Squadron.
There’s nothing like being in your favorite starship, just flying around and taking down enemy crafts; mine is the B-Wing — hey, don’t hate! Now, we will get that chance.
To see the Millennium Falcon fly again and shoot down Tie Fighters brought a tear to my eye, especially the special surprise at the end. I simply cannot wait for Star Wars Battlefront when it is released in November 17, 2015. Bring on the memories!
