Zelda Wii U still on track for 2016, includes amiibo functionality

With 2016 being the 30th anniversary for the Legend of Zelda series, the company reiterated that the newest upcoming game in the series is still arriving in 2016, and still for the Wii U.

Revealed during today’s Nintendo Direct, the game is still on track for this year for the now-aging console. Tentatively titled the Legend of Zelda Wii U, the game will include amiibo functionality, allowing for the use of Twilight Princes HD‘s Wolf Link within the game, with data carrying over (somehow). No word on new amiibo.
