With as wildly popular as Daredevil has been, and with fans salivating for more Jessica Jones and the other upcoming Defenders shows, Marvel has a huge group of hits on its hands. Well, it can potentially add another one, as the company and Netflix have announced that The Punisher will be spinning out of Daredevil into his own show.
Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as Frank Castle/The Punisher in the series. Since he was announced as the character, fans almost instantly began asking for a separate show. The premise will still revolve around Hell’s Kitchen, but will potentially end up much more violent than its predecessor.
The companies released a teaser image (above) as well as a video (below). No word on release date, but 2017 could be a potential timeframe.
