[E3 2016] New Insomniac-developed Spider-man is Playstation exclusive

In a surprise reveal at Sony’s E3 2016 press conference, Insomniac Games announced that they are working on a new Spider-man game exclusive to the Playstation 4. The studio, which recently completed Sunset Overdrive for the Xbox One and the upcoming Song of the Deep for retail chain Gamestop, gave a brief glimpse at the game in a new cinematic trailer.

The trailer depicts Spidey jump and flipping across New York, through buildings and precarious situations. Sunset Overdrive was heavily based on movement, and a similar execution may be perfect for the new Spider-man game. Though not much is known yet, the character’s design may give us a hint, as the costume’s eye designs are reminiscent of Tom Holland’s depiction of the character from the Marvel cinematic universe. Could this be a game based on the upcoming Spider-man Homecoming film, which Sony Pictures is producing?
