SideQuesting’s Best Games of E3 2016

sq-best-of-e3-2016

This E3 2016 was a wacky one. While there were a lot of publishers missing from the show floor, and things were dramatically scaled down, there was still plenty of amazing stuff to gawk at and equally amazing games to play.

We bashed our heads together to determine which ones were our BEST OF SHOW, and so we give you that amazing, incredible list of games to be ready for in the months (and possibly years) to come!

Drum roll, please!

It’s…

SideQuesting’s Best of E3 2016

Loot Rascals

Aliens, cards, loot and space shorts. Underneath a gorgeous exterior and enjoyable, accessible gameplay, Loot Rascals has the ability to become quite devious.

Days Gone

Days Gone could be the big zombie game to shift away from Last of Us for the PS4. And with some interesting elements and a focus on motion, it may end up a fun, albeit tense, romp in the post-apocalypse.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

By focusing on the world, the latest Legend should shift the focus back on exploration and adventure, and make for a more surprising journey for the hero.

Read why we think so here.

Batman: A Telltale Series

The duality of Wayne/Batman is fascinating as a concept, and could end up an intriguing way to present the comic book.

Read our thoughts on the first 30 minutes or so here.

Abzu

Abzû is stunning, beautiful, and one of our favorites of E3 2016.

Dishonored 2

The upcoming sequel to Dishonored looks like it will add even more of the depth and incredible gameplay that made Bethesda’s original so great.

Forza Horizon 3

By moving the location to Australia, Forza Horizon 3 developer Playground Games has opened up the world even more to beautiful scenery, worthy of driving in a car to see.

Our hands-on impressions here.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole

Best_of_e3-SouthPark

Picking up right after the original ends, the new South Park game looks to be even crazier, even deeper, and even more hilarious than the first.
