Yoshi’s Woolly World coming to 3DS in 2017

Yoshi’s Woolly World is coming to the Nintendo 3DS in 2017, signalling what may be the final death knells of the Wii U. The game, available on the home console for over a year now, features Mario’s dinosaur buddy in a sewn world.

Wool, to be exact.

The 3DS version of the game will retain that ultra-cute look, but make it fit onto the portable’s screen. That won’t be all. The 3DS’s version will also include a slew of Poochy levels. Poochy, the dog that Yoshi has come to befriend, even has his ow pups, which can lend a hand to Yosh to find items.

“But wait, there’s more!”

Not only will the 3DS iteration bring a new character, it’ll also feature 30 animated shorts by stop-motion house Dwarf. Created with help from Nintendo, the videos will show us what Poochy and Yoshi do on a day to day basis. Presumably, “being cute” is the only answer you need.

If your heart isn’t flutter yet, it just might start with word that Poochy will get his own yarn amiibo, sold along with the game separately and in a bundle.

Expect all of this to arrive on February 3, 2017 as Nintendo formally ends the life of the Wii U with the cuteness of yarn animals.
