Things are getting VERY meta in the X-universe of films.
In the latest and final trailer for Logan, we see the popular mutant hero flipping through an X-Men comic book and commenting about how his recollection of the events are a little different than the medium is showing.
The film, which also brings back Sir Patrick Stewart’s version of Professor X, is seemingly set in a future in which mutants are all but extinct, leaving the two former teammates to fend for themselves. That is, until a young girl (whom comic fans know as X-23) appears exhibiting powers astonishingly similar to Wolverine’s.
How closely the film sticks to the Old Man Logan series and the X-23 origins is unknown, but we’ll find out soon enough. Logan launches on Friday, March 3 — or as we all now know it, “Switchmas.”
