Take this all with a big, giant, mountain-sized grain of salt. Yesterday a trailer for the upcoming Mega Man cartoon supposedly leaked, and was subsequently shared everywhere across the interwebs.
The video above, which seems to be some kind of home video VHS version of the trailer, doesn’t paint the prettiest picture of the Blue Bomber. While Rock’s (Mega Man’s original Japanese name) costume design is fine with me for an animated version aimed at kids, the introductory sequence of some kind of young genius possibly donning the mega suit (it’s impossible to tell at this point) leaves me perplexed.
And, he shouts “It’s MEGA time!” which should offend any fan of the games.
Hopefully we find out more when an actual, official release goes out. Mega Man is due this year.
