Orcs? Ogres? Trolls? Whatever they are, they’re ginormous in the first trailer for Iron Galaxy’s Extinction.
From the description and the trailer, Extinction pits humans against kaiju-sized beasts that come to demolish their cities. It seems to bring a mix of elements from Shadow of the Colossus, Attack on Titan, and Warcraft, in that we’re battling giant fantasy creatures. It also adds a dash of Assassin’s Creed (vertical terrain traversal) and hints of tower defending horde modes, all wrapped in an action/adventure armor.
Iron Galaxy promises a deep campaign, interactive environments, and even the ability to create our own scenarios to share with friends.
Color me intrigued. Sometimes bashing away at monsters en masse is just what the witch doctor ordered.
Extinction arrives on PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2018. We’ll have more on the game from E3.
