With the Castlevania animated series set to debut on Netflix this week, one might think that the show’s producer, Adi Shankar, would take a break. Not so.
On his Facebook page today, Shankar announced that he’ll be working on an Assassin’s Creed animated show next. The series will be an original story set in the game’s world, though no idea if that will take place during a specific time period we’ve already seen or not. Assassin’s Creed has engaged regularly in cross media enterprises, from comic books to short films to major motion pictures. An animated show isn’t out of the reach of the intellectual property.
There’s no timetable or location for the series (Netlfix? Amazon? TV?), but with the announcement being so fresh we may not hear much more for a long time.
