Call of Duty: WWII’s story trailer focuses on the worst of the war

Blood. Dirt. Loss. Death.

War brings many things, and war-based games focus on those things to affect our entertainment levels. Sure, it’s fun to blast away enemies online, but single player campaigns can and should get us to pause and think — at least momentarily before we blast away enemies offline.

This year’s Call of Duty iteration, WWII, reveals this mental aspect in its first trailer. Set partly in a concentration camp, the video stars US Private Ronald Daniels, unprepared as he faces the horrors of war. Up against Nazi leaders, muddy trenches and chaos, Daniels will perhaps go from green to hardened vet in the span of the story.

Call of Duty: WWII launches this November for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
