Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate coming to Switch owners in the West this Summer

Known as Monster Hunter XX in Japan, the other new MonHun game is coming to the West this year.

Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, the English title for the game, will be hitting Switch consoles in Western markets this year. Before you get your expectations up too high, realize a couple of things:

  • This isn’t Monster Hunter World
  • This is the 3DS game that was ported to the Switch last year.
  • This isn’t Monster Hunter World
  • The visuals are not 4k, and are barely 720P
  • This isn’t Monster Hunter World

This version of the game will at least feature a new G rank, with even more powerful enemies.

It’s taken a while to get Monster Hunter on the Switch, but we can’t complain. Generations Ultimate launches August 28, 2018.
