RPG Maker MV coming to Switch, XBox One and PS4

It’s becoming easier and easier for everyone to create a game, and now it’s basically unavoidable.

RPG Maker MV, the game creation software for PC and 3DS, is heading West for the Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. The software, which is incredibly easy to use (it’s quite literally a drag and drop interface) requires zero knowledge of code to create a game. In fact, thousands of games have been created from this latest version on other devices already. The basic premise relies on classically inspired turn-based RPG mechanics, but developers have gotten crafty and made some impressive projects.

This latest console version will bring over the creation tools and the ability to share with others. In fact, via a free separate app, players can download created games and enjoy them at any time, even without owning the main software.

NIS America has announced that the game is due on these shores in 2019.
