The first LEGO Movie was wonderful and fun, and spawned Batman and Ninjago focused sequels. Well guess what? and ACTUAL sequel is coming!
The latest trailer for the film shows the full breadth of the chaos as the Duplo block invade LEGO world, sending Emmet, Lucy and pals off to rescue the citizens of Bricksburg. The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part arrives from SPAAAAAACE in February 2019.
Meanwhile, Deadpool is back. Again.
Once Upon a Deadpool retells the story of the second film in a PG13-friendly version, ready to make Marvel happy to get the character in front of younger eyeballs. Also, FRED SAVAGE. And yes, that’s a complete homage to one of the best films of all time, A Princes Bride. Once Upon a Deadpool arrives in December.
Somehow Alita: Battle Angel has been completely off of my radar. Well, after this latest trailer, it’s completely at the forefront. Based on Yukito Kishiro’s manga from the 90s, the film will try to make a realistic CGI version of anime and, from the looks of it, might succeed in (at least) making for an interesting art style. The manga is legendary, so this adaptation is long in the making. James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez are bringing it to life on February 14, 2019.
