The Game Awards 2018 Retrospective

The Game Awards 2018 Retrospective

The Game Awards have come and gone again, and you know what that means. It’s well and proper Game of the Year time. Everyone here at SideQuesting now has to begin the mad scramble to finish up the games we’re planning on finishing before we nominate our own nominees and decide who is writing up what for which winners in a few weeks.

We also had our annual SideQuest drink-a-long, streamed live to an audience of millions right alongside The Game Awards. We laughed. We cried. We talked about trains an awful lot. Most importantly, we pretty much unanimously agreed that this year’s award show was the best it has ever been, and actually felt like an awards show. We’ve, uh. We’ve had some harsh words for the thing in the past.

But this year was good!

Except for the fact that Marvel’s Spider-Man got snubbed, repeatedly. Yuri Lowenthal was ROBBED for Best Performance.
