SteamWorld Quest arrives on Nintendo Switch in April

The next game in the SteamWorld series has a release date

SteamWorld Quest: The Hand of Gilgamech, the upcoming RPG set in the world of robots, will launch on April 25 for the Nintendo Switch. Developers Image & Form made the announcement via a new trailer for the game, featuring new gameplay. The turn-based RPG features card battle mechanics, but not in the Hearthstone sense. No, players will not need to buy cards and hope for a good draw at random; rather, the cards will be unlocked along the adventure. The game will be played in a 2D sideview perspective, without a traditional overworld, and feature an expansive quest.

Though it may be a fantasy game, it falls squarely within the SteamWorld canon, though how it fits is yet to be determined — until we get our grubby hands on it next month. SteamWorld Quest launches for $24.99.
