A new Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer appears

Sony dropped some pre-E3 info today that’s sure to make us kweh.

During its second State of Play stream, the company revealed a new, new trailer of the game. Publisher SquareEnix has been tight-lipped about the game over the last 3 years, focusing its resources on Kingdom Hearts 3.

But not any more. With KH3 out the door, the team behind it is transitioning to FFVII, and it shows. The combat is being handled now by Kingdom Hearts 2’s lead battle designer, and the visuals have been given a more realistic bump. Heck, even Barret looks less stereotypical in the clip.

SquareEnix is promising more information on the game in June, which just so happens to be the same month as E3. Go figure!
